Featured Femme: Joan Awa

We are so proud to be a part of Joan's journey, and what an exciting journey it is! An author, philanthropist and yoga Instructor Femme Achiever, Joan Awa teamed up with Fökai for a Bookgiveaway event in 2016 for Fokai Femme’s #teamTeiya fundraiser. It was an appreciation gathering, to celebrate the sacrifice and undying love of family. (See our Teiya post for more info) Clusters of family, friends, and supporters poured into the shop to purchase their #TeamTeiya Fokai shirts, throwing Teiya’s signature shaka and sharing her amazing journey to recovery. Others lined up for autographs from Joan who donated her limited edition children’s book “Nana and Jose’s Coconut Day” as a gift of appreciation to those who came out to support the cause.
