Featured Femme : Francesca Ada Lizama

Francesca Ada Lizama is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) green belt under Stephen Roberto and the Purebred Academy family.

She took up Jiu Jitsu at just 5 years old, and won her first tournament a few months later. She hasn't looked back since.

Francesca has already reached a level well beyond her years while studying BJJ. She competes against competitors her age, as well as challenging herself in the women's divisions. Francesca has taken multiple medals locally and abroad. Take a look at her extensive track record:

Most recently winning two medals at the 2017 Marianas Open. Smashing boys in the Teen Division, she took the Silver medal. And if that's not enough, dominated the Absolute Women's Division at only 13 years old, and took Gold!

Oh ya, and she also knows how to surf... entering her first surf competition at 9 years old, she won second place at the Hui Nalu RIP CURL Guam Comp.

When she's not on the mats grappling, you'll find her in the water searching for the perfect wave.

This Teenage prodigy is also a volleyball player, an Artist, and dances Hula and Tahitian dancing.

We don't know what the future holds for the young jiu-jitsu player, but whether she continues to kick butt on the mat, or play hard on the volleyball courts, we know she will continue to break barriers and inspire.
